                                        Jack and Jill Contest

Registration for the contest is $5 per person.  All Jack and Jill participants must be registered prior to 9:00 pm on Friday night.  Jack and Jill Prelimilaries will begin at 10:00 on Saturday night.  Finalists will be dancing around 11:00 pm.

Each contestant will be judged on their own lead/follow skills for the Jack and Jill competition with different partners.  If you haven't entered a Jack and Jill Contest before, now is the time to do so.

Some of you beginners may ask "What is a Jack and Jill Contest?"  

A Jack and Jill Contest is where each of the follows and leads line up and in two lines and face each other.  A number is called, and the follows (or leads) will move down the line that many people.  You take that partner onto the dance floor and dance to a song.  Then you all line up again,  move to a new partner and dance to another song.  It is a lot of fun, and you can learn so much about yourself as a lead or follow in those few short minutes.  What you take away from the experience cannot be taught, it is something you feel.  It's not if you win or place, it is learning more about yourself as a dancer and HAVING FUN!
