2011 Lesson Schedule

Every month we will be teaching "CLASSIC SWING" on Sundays noon to 1:00pm Monday evening from 8 to 9 pm at Des Moines Ballroom (2745 Douglas Avenue) and on Tuesdays, we will be teaching Balboa  at Madhat Ballroom (Govenor's Square in West Des Moines).  Each month will start a new series. Don't forget the FREE half hour lesson at The Ingersoll every Thursday night at 7:30 right before Thursday Night Swing Social!

You will be learning "classic swing" dances from 1920's, 30's and 40's.  Each class will be based on the level of the students enrolled.  We will not only teach footwork, but attitude, styling and techniques that were very commonly seen on the dance floor.  When this important part of our history is brought back to life, the whole room starts jumping.  

Classic Swing

Mondays every month will start a new 4 week series of Classic Swing moves.  Class time 8 to 9pm

Balboa

Tuesdays at Madhat Ballroom in West Des Moines. Class time is 7:30 to 8:30.  Check out their scheduling.

Beginning Swing

Sundays at noon to 1:00 pm in:

January, April, July and October

Great for beginners or those who want to brush up on their basic.

Beginning Swing II

Sundays at noon to 1:00 pm in:

February, May, August and November

This will be a continuation of the Beginning Swing Class.  Great to continue your swing dancing by learning more moves and adding a little styling to your basic.  If you know the basic moves come join us to add a few moves to your dance.
